Originally from Cuba, as a child, I was always very motivated and excited about pursuing my dreams. The first passion I followed was that of martial arts. I trained in Taekwondo, obtained my first black belt in my late teens and competed with the Cuban National Team. I continued my journey studying Kinesiology and Health in University and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree.
I have always been a people person and engaging with others has always come very natural to me. As equally as natural as Latin dance! These enthusiastic qualities led me to pursue a career working at Cuban resorts as an entertainer. The years I spent in this field gave me the opportunity to be exposed to and connect with a variety of people, cultures, and personalities. Dreaming of a better life for my family, I was motivated to pursue a new life in Canada. With perseverance and determination, I was able to make another dream a reality- owning a Taekwondo studio and becoming a certified Zumba instructor. The personal connections I have made over the years combined with the great satisfaction I received in knowing I was helping people led me to where I am today.
